Here are some helpful hints, useful tips and advice to help you when choosing looking for a quick sale.

DO…

- Use a reputable company with a Freecall 0800 number

- Get a written guarantee

- Make sure that the company has a local knowledge

- Ask for testimonials

- Ask for someone to visit you in your home and discuss all your options (not just the ones they’re looking to sell).

- Get any offer in writing and signed

- Ask for what you want and it may not be just price (rent free period, stay in your house, find another property for you)

DON’T…

- Pay for an external valuation

- Take the first offer…there’s always ways to negotiate.

- Pay any fees in advance, before an offer is agreed

- Trust companies that won’t let you speak directly with a local contract
